DON’T PANIC

UPDATE 3/2/18 2:00 PM: As of about 2 PM EST it looks like things are returning to normal.  Still some missed commands, but no more red rings and error messages.

It’s not just you.  Amazon Echo users worldwide are reporting issues with Alexa.  Whether it’s just delayed responses to your requests or a full on red ring of doom, you’re probably dealing with the same issue.

According to Reddit, Twitter and DownDetector, users around the globe are reporting issues with their Echo devices.  Users are also reporting Amazon Customer Service is slammed with requests for help.

As Alexa is a flagship Amazon product, I expect they’re working hard to restore service.  I sure hope so, because my whole house relies on Alexa and it’s going to be dark soon!
